Joe Cook, a budding Sports Journalist and Broadcaster, contacted us about getting some headshots done for an upcoming set of interviews. This gave us the chance to break from the beach and portable lighting, so we were allowed access to Hampton High School’s rear gym to add a sporty feel to an otherwise bland shoot. We would have preferred shooting in the main gym, however the school was having some maintenance done including the installation of new scoreboards and retiling of the ceiling. This also posed another problem due to having to keep the gym door closed: excessive heat! We didn’t let this stop us though, and Joe was a trooper! Check out some of what we got below:

Tommy “Fly Guy” Foster, a DMV native and skilled wordsmith, stopped through the spot to get some work done for his upcoming mixtape titled “Valentine’s Day Massacre” which will be available next month.  We were glad to have him, and got a sneak peak of some of his most recent work which was amazing.  If you’re interested in keeping tabs on the Fly Brigade and developments with Tommy himself, follow him on twitter: www.twitter.com/tommyflyguy Check some of the shots after the jump.

SR_06The main man B. Sums was asked to help a friend out with some headshots for her portfolio and he obliged.  I tagged along to add to the Behind The Scenes resume.  Sheree Reed was a very nice person to work with, and we’d both like to wish her well. Much success on your future endeavors Ms. Reed! The words are gonna be short and sweet for this one, check some of the photos and the vid after the jump!

Halloween_118Happy Halloween everyone..  We here at Adeptive decided to try something a bit different to celebrate the holiday, and set up the first of our “Holiday Icons” photo sets.  Holiday Icons is all about taking well known characters from the approaching holiday and updating them, even making them attractive in some cases! :)  Our mainstay Trannisha Smith was back again, while we started scouting for new blood (pun intended) to add to the portfolio.  Check the shots after the jump!

IMG_8441 A friend of ours was itching to get in front of the lens again, and we happily  obliged! Thanks Trannisha for trusting us to make things work under the  circumstances!  Thomas grabbed his trusty Canon and hit the mean streets of Newport News with his buddy Trannisha to add some shots to her portfolio, check out a few after the break…
